Go your own way with one of our bespoke walks!
Bespoke walks are available for free to all businesses in the BID area and can be booked for a time and date that suit you.
Many of you will know about inholborn’s highly successful programme of guided walks on historical and cultural themes. Perhaps less well known, however, is that we can also do private walks free of charge for businesses and organisations within the BID area at a date and time to suit you.
The subject of these walks can be taken from our list of dozens of different themes which can be accessed on our website www.inholborn.org, or we can do tailor-made walks to your own requirements. Our Guide can meet you outside your office and then take you on a walk to your chosen venue, such as a restaurant or a pub.
There are a number of reasons why you might want to have one of our bespoke walks – perhaps for a staff away day, or someone’s leaving do. We also provide a special walk called Holborn in a Hurry which is designed as an introduction to the local area for businesses new to Holborn, or for those taking on new staff. Holborn in a Hurry includes an introduction to Holborn, information about its position in relation to neighbouring areas, transport connections and the services provided by the Business Improvement District, as well as a light hearted and accessible look at Holborn’s varied history.
When we started our bespoke walks in the summer of 2006 we did just 2 of them with a total of 17 people attending, but by 2009 this had risen to 24 walks with 232 people attending. This is in addition to the scheduled walks which are held most Wednesday and Friday lunchtimes.
