Beware: Criminals are Targeting Cash Machines.

There has been an increase in reported incidents of Cash Machine Fraud in Holborn. Find out how to keep you and your money safe.

There have been a number of recent incidents around cash machines in Holborn, whereby money or bank cards have been stolen. Bank details have also been obtained using sophisticated cloning devices and distracting techniques.

To stop this happening to you, please take the following precautions:

- If you suspect a device has been placed on a cash machine, do not attempt to move it. Please contact the police or bank immediately.
- Be mindful of people behind you at cash machines. Ask them ot move away and give you some personal space.
- Do not let others see your PIN number. Try to cover your typing hand when entering your PIN.
- Do not keep your car and PIN number together.
- Beware of others trying to distract you when using the machine.
