The Museum Mile

A mile of museums

The Museum Mile walk takes you from Euston Road to the bank of the River Thames via 13 of the capital’s most extraordinary museums, some world renowned, others little-known gems.

The Museum Mile walking tour is a full-day event with a chance to sample some truly diverse delights, from Impressionists in the Courtauld and original manuscripts in the Charles Dickens Museum to Shakespeare’s First Folio in the British Library and the Wellcome Collection’s DNA robot.

For further information about these museums, including a map showing their locations, visit www.museum-mile.org.uk

On the walks the Guide, provided by inholborn Business Improvement District, will briefly introduce each museum and then take the group to see one specially selected exhibit.

Both walks are free of charge and there is no charge for admission to any of the museums.

For both walks the numbers are limited to 20 places and advance booking is essential. To book your place on either walk email: info@inholborn.org or call 020 7078 7077

"Thank you for the recent Museum Mile Day. It was a wonderful experience and I got to visit several museums I had always meant to get to (the amazing Sir John Soane's House & Charles Dickens House), as well as several that were unknown to me such as the intriguing UCL Museum Collections … An inspired event."
