Benchmarking

Have you ever suspected that your neighbour may be spending less than you for a particular product or service?

By collating common spend information across BID members, we can create a benchmark database. We can then analyse your costs, quality and service level and present you with a league table. That will tell you whether your current contracts are best in class or whether you could be doing better.

Cutting costs - together

Normally, individual companies have their own purchasing arrangements, whether that’s on a local basis or through central office, and their own prices.

By bringing together the entire community’s spend on a particular commodity – be it electricity or stationery - and taking that to the market, Holborn immediately becomes extremely attractive to providers. Competition increases and prices fall.

Improving service - together

It’s not simply a matter of getting a better price. By bringing together all of Holborn’s spend, we also become a strategic force in the market place and can demand superior and consistent levels of service from suppliers.

A multitude of suppliers currently enter our area to deliver products or provide services. By combining spend and sharing suppliers, we can cut down on traffic and enable multiple drop-offs.

Pretty much everything we do and everything we buy produces CO2 at some point in its life cycle. We aim to find and develop strategies and present products to you that will help minimise CO2 emissions.
