Let there be light

Holborn is an increasingly vibrant place by day and inholborn doesn’t believe that should stop when the sun goes down. After all, well and interestingly-lit retail and leisure areas inevitably benefit from increased footfall and improved sales.

That was the thinking behind the pilot scheme we commissioned from internationally-renowned lighting designers, Jason Bruges Studio, and trialled in November 2008. The scheme was imaginative and energy-efficient, with the aim of giving the BID area a unique night-time signature in the public imagination and, at the same time, saving money.

The feedback from BID members was positive and constructive and the intention is to roll out a new and even more impressive scheme later in 2009.
