The information kiosk

A prominent landmark on Kingsway outside Holborn tube station, the Information Kiosk is one of inholborn’s most popular services. In fact, in 2008/2009 it fielded 120,000 enquiries.

Many of those are from people looking for a local business and in need of directions, in what can be a very confusing area. The kiosk’s touch screen directory puts the answer to many of their questions literally at their fingertips. Other enquiries come from the increasing number of visitors to the area, a fact recognised by Visit London’s decision to brand our kiosk as an official Tourist Information Point, the only one of its kind.

The kiosk also offers a convenient meeting point and a safe haven outside Holborn Tube, especially in the evenings when things can get very congested. Any incidents, from theft to abuse, can be reported immediately to the kiosk which is in direct communication with the local Police Community Support Officers.

The inholborn kiosk is open from 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday.
