Enhanced police cover

The use of targeted police overtime, negotiated with the Metropolitan Police, has allowed us to implement a wide range of anti-crime initiatives.

For example, we can arrange a day’s Police Foyer Event for you to give your staff and building management the benefit of tailored crime prevention advice.

In conjunction with the police, we have undertaken anti-social cycling campaigns at main road junctions to issue warnings and fines to those few cyclists who ride irresponsibly and we have also funded extra police patrols.

Targeting the bag snatchers

A study conducted with the assistance of police overtime has identified bag theft as a key crime issue in the Holborn area. In response, we will be launching an anti-bag theft campaign in the next few weeks. Apart from installing bag-clips in a number of bars, pubs and restaurants, we will be raising people’s awareness of the hazards of taking their eyes off their bags.

Future projects include funding police patrols in the BID area at night to assess any specific nocturnal problems.
